My Journey

I started baking since I was an adolescent. Okay, granted I used boxed mixes from the supermarket, but I was still very proud of what I made. Throughout the years, I made anything from cupcakes to multi-layer cakes to quick breads.

I only started eating French macarons a few years ago.  It sure is hard to avoid them since there are multiple macaron stores a block from my job.  Hearing how hard they were to make, I never attempted to make them from scratch...until my cousin Roxanne asked me to bake some with her in August of 2012.  The first batches were not perfect by any means, but just seeing they had feet made us delirious!

I know you bakers out there who post by the oven and watch if those feet start to develop!

Soon I was baking macarons every week.  I used different recipes to see which one suited my kitchen.  It's still very much a learning experience and I hope to continue on this journey for a long time.  The goal of this blog is to chronicle the goods and the bads of macaron-making as well as showcasing how far we can take that process - the different color/flavor/design combinations are endless...thus, I want to take macs to the max!

You are welcome to leave me any ideas of what I should make and how I should make them.  I'm not a macaron-expert.  I am still very much a student of the craft and hearing your feedback would make my day.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog!

xoxo,
Joanne

    1. Hi Rachel!

Sorry for the delayed response! Right now I am not taking orders. I am actually priming myself for possible sales in 2013. I'll keep you posted!
